HALOGEN/LED
The main difference between LED and Halogen is the energy used and the bulb-life rate.
LED LIGHTS
- LED Stands for light-emitting diodes. , whereas the LED bulb life is 30,000 to 50,000 hours and uses less energy than halogen lights.
- LED lights create light using semiconductor materials and are shatterproof.
- LED lights stay cooler even after a long time of use, but still protection is needed.
- LED lights come in various colour temperatures and colours and are free of any chemicals and gases which are harmful to us.
- LED lights may be a little expensive when compared to Halogen lights but last longer with less electricity consumption.
- LED lights are brighter as they emit white lights.
HALOGEN LIGHTS
- Halogen light has a build-life of 1500 to 2000 hours and uses more energy than LED and gives brighter light.
- In halogen lights light is produced by heating the filament for the heating process electrical current is used or needed.
- As Halogen bulbs produce infrared light, they may cause damage to the artwork.
- Halogen lights are sensitive to the skin so while putting them you can wear gloves.
- Prolonged usage of halogen light makes it heat up and cannot be touched till it gets cooled.
- Halogens are fragile in nature and when fixed near the fans or compressor equipment the bulb-life span is shortened due to the vibrations.
- Halogen is economical in rate whereas it gets burned out faster.
- Halogen lights are not that bright when compared to LED as they emit yellow lights.
